Propapier PM 2 project with Metso advances according to schedule - Assembly work begins in July

Propapier’s project to erect a paper mill on a greenfield site in Eisenhüttenstadt, Germany, is advancing according to schedule. Jürgen Heindl, CEO at Progroup AG, and Frank Gumbinger, CFO at Progroup AG, together with Propapier’s project management team visited Metso’s Paper Machines Unit in Jyväskylä in Finland on June 10 to see and hear about the status of the project.

Official ground-breaking for the largest paper machine for corrugated base paper in Europe of Progroup AG

Progroup AG set a further milestone in the direction of the future with the construction of the new paper mill of Propapier PM2 GmbH & Co. KG. The official ground-breaking ceremony took place in Eisenhüttenstadt/Eastern Germany on 10 December 2008 under the auspices of the Prime Minister, Mathias Platzeck.

On 7 August 2008, the Environmental Agency of the State of Brandenburg in Frankfurt (Oder) officially approved the installation and commissioning of the largest paper machine for corrugated base paper in Germany, applied for by Propapier PM2 GmbH & Co. KG.
